Travels, tables, and spindles are nominal manufacturer catalog figures for each model, not measurements of our machines. Machine travel is not the largest part we can make — see the part sizes we have shipped below.
Traxis programs jobs in-house in Fusion 360, using posts tuned to each machine. The tables identify the six of nine machines with live monitoring. Combined with the integrated ERP, monitoring provides real-time job status for scheduling.
Part sizes we have shipped
From parts shipped over the past three years — a better guide to fit than machine travel
Milled parts
Typical part is about 5.5 × 3.5 × 1.25 in, and nine in ten fit within 19 × 18 × 2 in. Largest single pieces to date include a 48 × 12 in baseplate and a 30 × 20 × 1.25 in plate. Nested sheet work has been run from 48 × 144 in stock.
Turned parts
Typical part is 1 in diameter by 4 in long, and nine in ten are under 2.4 in diameter and 12 in long. Chucked work to about 8 in diameter.
Tube
3/4 to 1 in DOM and similar tube, to roughly 30 in long, with milled features.
Smallest
1/8 in diameter pins and 3/4 × 3/8 × 1/2 in clamps.
Bigger or smaller than this? Send the drawing — fit depends on the whole part, not one dimension.
