Traxis machines aluminum 6061 and 7075, stainless 304 and 316, titanium Grades 2 and 5, and engineering plastics such as acetal and 30% glass-filled PEEK. The table gives general material characteristics and typical applications; it is not test data from the shop.

Stock comes in as plate, round bar, rectangular and square bar, hex bar, tubing, angle, and off-the-shelf enclosures.

For drawing tolerances and the inspection method, see Precision Machining.

Don't See Your Material?

Include the exact grade and condition in your RFQ. We’ll review whether we can machine it and confirm sourcing before quoting.

Customer-Supplied Material

We normally supply the material, and material certifications ship with parts on request. Some customers supply their own stock — tell us in your RFQ so we can set the job up properly.

  • • Send the grade, condition, stock dimensions, quantity, and available material certifications before sending stock
  • • Additional setup time may apply
